I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE!

Friday: Fairhope, Fun, Fabulous, Fierce, Fantastic.

Hey gang!!

This morning I was able to visit two wonderful sponsors, SSI Group and Elcan and Associates. Then Kathy and I went grocery shopping at Publix and bought REESES PEANUT BUTTER CUP OREOS! WHOA. I know. They are just as good as they sound, so I understand if you have to temporarily postpone reading this blog post in order to go get some. IMG_0289IMG_0294

We then ventured to Fairhope and had some good bonding time while shopping in the little boutiques and trinket stores. Kathy, you are so amazing! After that we went to Wintzell’s Oyster House and had lunch with all the golfers who played in our annual Tournament to raise funds for Distinguished Young Women.IMG_0299

While I was eating, these two young girls came up and told me they had been making smoothies all day for the golfers outside in the scorching heat. They held out some dollar bills and told me they wanted to give all of their tips to the scholarship foundation. I was speechless and honestly, still don’t know what to say! It warms my heart to know these two girls chose to give everything they had away in order to help our organization. They truly represent the spirit of DYW, which is to give back and raise funds for scholarships so more young women can attend college. photo-4

My one hope is that these girls continue to grow and flourish and one day participate in this program and reap the benefits that they sowed into it as kids. If you girls are reading this, I made you Honorary Distinguished Young Women today, so know that you are loved and greatly appreciated.

After handing out the awards at the luncheon, Kathy and I got stuck in a rain storm on the way back to rehearsals! But she’s superwoman and can drive in anything so we made it there with no problems. AND IT WAS EARLY RELEASE for all the girls!! So we went home, had dinner and BAKED our hearts out. (Taylor, my host sister and myself) We made, Snickerdoodle Blondies, Salted Caramel Brownies and Banana Bread bars for the Has Beens coming tomorrow. Which I’m also super excited about, by the way.

It’s been an awesome day! Hope you all had as fierce of a Friday as I did.

Love always,

Nicole #dostuff
