Not sure if you heard the breaking news but Ghirardelli has come out with NEW Chocolate Square flavors!! I know, you are probably just as excited as me and can’t wait to get to the store to buy some, but I already did and am here to give you the full report.
Flavor #1: Dark Chocolate Blueberry
Analysis: HOLY COW! This one might sound weird but it will actually blow your mind. (well not actually, but you get me) The dark chocolate balances out the sweetness of the blueberry just right making for a wonderful sensation in your mouth. I usually am not a fan of fruits mixed with chocolate but this one is a major win in my book. 10/10 Ghirardelli. Well done. (Also this is my favorite wrapper out off all the wrappers ever)
Flavor #2: Dark Chocolate Spicy Caramel
Analysis: My first thought was, Chocolate shouldn’t be spicy. Then, when I took the first bite, I was like, “its not even spicy!” BUT PATIENCE YOU MUST HAVE WITH GHIRARDELLI, YOUNG GHIRARDELLI EATERS. After I swallowed that first bite, BANG! The beast was unleashed and the spiciness took residence in my mouth. It wasn’t a lot or overwhelming by any means, but it left you with a nice little zing that puts a pep in your step. Definitely have to try this one.
Flavor #3: Milk Chocolate Sea Salt Brownie
Analysis: I feel like this is a good square for all the safe chocolate eaters out there. You know, the kind of people who don’t like a bunch of weird flavors or combinations but a good standard, chocolate with nothing fancy. My favorite part about this square is the brownie truffle. It makes the chocolate so smooth and fudgy! I prefer dark chocolate over milk so this one’s not my favorite, but someone like my mom would LOVE this! Overall, it’s a solid square and worth the try.
