I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE!

If you’re not already in love with the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, hopefully after this post you will be.

Tuesday I woke up thirsty for adventure so when I saw the sun shining and heard the birds chirping, I knew it was the perfect day for an escapade.

I’ve been wanting to climb Rattlesnake Ridge for awhile now so I hopped in the car to check it off my list. (#DoStuff right??) I didn’t even realize it was the first day of spring!!! Spring is my favorite time of year so this was the perfect way to start the season.

From Puyallup, Rattlesnake Lake is about 57 minutes north east, at exit 32, just before you get to Snoqualmie Pass.

There’s tons of space and free parking in the lot and then it’s just a short, 5-minute walk to get to the trail head.

I didn’t really know what to expect for this hike; I kind of thought it would just be a little jaunt up with a pretty view, but as I began my ascent I quickly realized I was wrong. This is a mountain y’all; I definitely got a work out.

It took me a little under an hour to reach the first lookout (the most popular one) and I was moving pretty fast and didn’t take any breaks. However, I was also carrying a million things (camera, tripod, backpack, lunch box, you know… the goods) so I would recommend packing smarter than me.

The hike to the top is stunning and so refreshing. You’re surrounded by trees, giant boulders and you can sometimes see the lake peep through the trees.

Once I got to the top, the view took my breath away. Overlooking the turquoise blue lake into the snow capped mountains made the journey completely worth it.

I found a little spot close (but not too close) to the edge and had lunch.

This little Joseph Joseph lunch box is so handy for traveling. It’s compact, has different compartments and I take it with me everywhere I go.

I’ve listed my favorite travel tupperware for you to check out, they’re so handy & inexpensive!

go left here for the 2nd and 3rd lookout

There were a lot of people hanging out on this rock so I decided to move along and find the second lookout. It was just about 5-10 minutes up from the first one and WAY less people.

The final lookout was my favorite so I sat there for a while to just take it all in.

It was so peaceful and the weather could not have been more perfect.

I even made a little friend.

Going down the mountain was a lot faster, but also a lot scarier haha take my advice and go slower than you think because I rolled my ankles twice.

If you’re visiting Washington or live here and need to get out of the city and into nature, I would highly recommend this hike for a perfect way to spend a sunny day.
