This Apple Bread recipe is the ultimate quick bread loaf for autumn, featuring a delightful cinnamon swirl woven throughout and the juicy sweetness of Honeycrisp apples. It’s the perfect treat to enjoy with your morning coffee or as a comforting snack during those chilly afternoons. So, preheat your oven, gather your ingredients, and let’s dive into a recipe that’s sure to become a fall favorite!

Apple Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups AP flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp all spice
  • 1 egg room temp
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2/3 cup whole milk, room temp
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 honey crisp apple, chopped
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbs cinnamon 

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together, flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, until combined.
  2. In another medium bowl, whisk egg, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add vegetable oil, yogurt, milk, and vanilla and combine. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Fold in the apples being careful to not overmix.
  5. In a small bowl combine sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Pour half of the batter into a prepared loaf pan.
  7. Sprinkle with majority of your cinnamon sugar mixture, it will feel like a lot!
  8. Pour the rest of the batter on top of that and top with remaining cinnamon sugar (about 2Tbs.) using a butter knife, swirl the cinnamon and sugar into the bread.
  9. Bake at 350° for about 60 min until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Let bread cool and enjoy!
