In 2011, I had the life-changing opportunity to travel to Israel with my family — and it remains one of the most awe-inspiring places I’ve ever experienced. Walking the ancient streets, visiting historic sites, and standing in the very places where stories from the Bible unfolded brought scripture to life in a way I never could have imagined. It deepened my faith, stirred something sacred within me, and left me forever changed.

This pomegranate tahini smoothie bowl is my edible tribute to that unforgettable journey. Inspired by the bold, nourishing flavors of the region, it combines creamy tahini with sweet, tangy pomegranate to create a rich and vibrant blend. It’s earthy, refreshing, and naturally beautiful — a reflection of both the land and the culture that left such a lasting impression on my heart.

Topped with chopped dates, crunchy granola, juicy pomegranate seeds, and a drizzle of honey, this bowl is as nourishing as it is symbolic. Every spoonful feels like a small celebration of the flavors, colors, and spiritual richness of Israel. I hope you enjoy!

Pomegranate Tahini Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen riced cauliflower
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • 1 tsp date syrup
  • 1 Tbsp tahini
  • 2 pitted dates

Toppings:

  • Granola
  • Pomegranate perils
  • Coconut flakes
  • Chopped dates
  • Honey drizzle

Directions:

  1. Blend all ingredients together in a high speed blender until smooth.
  2. Transfer to a bowl and top with your favorite ingredients. See the list above for what I used!
