These chocolate pinecones are one of those holiday treats that look incredibly impressive but are surprisingly easy to make. Made with a simple Oreo and cream cheese base, they’re rich, chocolatey, and shaped to resemble little pinecones using chocolate cereal. They’re the kind of dessert that instantly elevates a holiday table without a lot of extra work.
This is also a great recipe to make with kids or prep ahead for gatherings. The truffle mixture comes together quickly, and assembling the pinecones is actually pretty fun. Whether you’re adding them to a cookie tray or serving them as a standalone dessert, these chocolate pinecones always get compliments.

Ingredients:
- 1 package of Oreos
- 5oz cream cheese, room temp

- powdered sugar (for dusting)
Directions:
- In a food processor, pulse Oreos until they are fine.
- Add cream cheese and pulse until you have a thick, sticky dough.
- Refrigerate for 10-20 min to let the cream cheese firm up and its easier to form.
- Form 3 Tbs of the mixture into a cone shape.
- Press the cereal into the Oreo mixture slanting upwards making a full circle around the base of the cone.
- Repeat in another layer above the first and continue going around and up until the entire cone is covered and resembles a pinecone.
- Dust with powdered sugar for a “snowed on” effect and enjoy!
