I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE!

#DOSTUFF

A blueberry muffin for breakfast but make it a smoothie you can blend in two minutes and drink on the way out the door. That is exactly what this blueberry muffin smoothie is and it delivers on that promise completely. Frozen blueberries, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla, coconut cream, and vanilla protein powder blended together into something that genuinely tastes like a warm blueberry muffin straight from the oven. The kind of breakfast that makes you actually look forward to mornings.

The coconut cream cubes are the detail that makes this smoothie different from every other blueberry smoothie out there. Freeze coconut cream in an ice cube tray ahead of time and you have a secret weapon for adding richness and that bakery style creaminess to any smoothie without any dairy. Combined with the oats and cinnamon it creates that warm, cozy, just baked flavor that makes this taste so much more complex than a seven ingredient smoothie has any right to. If you have never frozen coconut cream before this recipe is a great reason to start keeping a tray in your freezer at all times.

The oats are doing double duty here too. They add fiber and staying power that keep you full and energized way longer than a fruit only smoothie would, and they contribute to that thick hearty texture that makes this feel like a real meal rather than just a drink. Blended smooth they disappear completely into the base but the flavor and nutrition stay behind. This is the blueberry muffin smoothie recipe for people who want their breakfast to actually keep them going until lunch.

Make it for yourself, make it for your kids, make it for both by blending the base first, pouring Willa’s portion out, then adding the protein powder and blending again. Same smoothie, two versions, everyone gets exactly what they need. This one goes in the permanent morning rotation and once you make it you will completely understand why.
