Chocolate Covered FroYo Fruit Bites (Homemade Tru Fru)

Tru Fru has a chokehold on so many of us and I completely understand why. That combination of frozen fruit, creamy yogurt, and chocolate is genuinely one of the best flavor and texture combinations out there. But have you seen the price of a bag lately? I started making these at home and the difference in cost alone was enough to make this a permanent fixture in our freezer. Same concept, real ingredients you can actually read, and honestly even better because you can customize exactly what goes in them.

These chocolate covered froyo fruit bites are clusters of chopped strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries drizzled with greek yogurt and melted dark chocolate then frozen into the most satisfying little bites. The greek yogurt adds a creamy tangy layer that works so well with the bright fresh berries underneath, and the dark chocolate shell on top brings everything together in the best way. Every cluster is a little different which is part of what makes them so fun to eat. No two bites are exactly the same and that is perfectly fine with me.

The technique is genuinely as simple as it gets. Chop your strawberries, scatter all three berries onto a lined baking sheet in little clusters, drizzle greek yogurt over each one, drizzle melted dark chocolate over the top, and freeze for at least two hours until completely set. The hardest part is waiting for them to freeze and even that is not that hard when you know what is coming. Pull them off the tray and store them in an airtight container in the freezer and you have a nourishing, satisfying snack ready to grab all week long.

Willa loves these straight from the freezer and so does everyone else who has ever tried them. They are nutrient dense, packed with antioxidants from the berries, protein from the greek yogurt, and that dark chocolate drizzle makes them feel like a real treat every single time. The homemade Tru Fru that costs a fraction of the price and tastes just as good. Make a big batch this week and keep them stocked all summer long.
