Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Pull Apart Bread

Cheesy buffalo chicken pull apart bread made with a crusty sourdough loaf cut into a grid pattern and stuffed with a spicy buffalo chicken cream cheese filling, topped with shredded cheddar, and baked until golden and melty. Six ingredients, thirty five minutes, and the most crowd pleasing game day appetizer that disappears in minutes. Serve with ranch or blue cheese for dipping.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 crusty loaf of bread I used sourdough
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • ½ cup hot sauce
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 3 tbs butter, cut into thin slices
  • 2 green onions chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • In a medium bowl, mix chicken, hot sauce, cream cheese, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese and green onions until combined.
  • Cut vertical slices in your loaf stopping just before the bottom. Do not cut all the way through.
  • Turn your loaf 90 degrees and cut vertical slices again making a grid pattern on your loaf.
  • Stuff the butter slices and chicken mixture in the bread pockets being sure to fill them all the way up!
  • Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup cheese on the very top of the openings.
  • Wrap in aluminum foil bake for 15 min covered and then another 5-7 min uncovered until golden and melty.
  • Serve immediately.
